In the March 2026 update, we added backup support to Stokki. The item records you have built up can now be saved and restored, making it easier to carry them over when switching devices or when something unexpected happens. We also added a photo-optional registration feature so inventory can be saved even without attaching a photo.
What was added
You can now back up and restore the photos, quantities, categories, storage locations, and other information recorded in Stokki as a set. This keeps the speed of local storage while adding more confidence for long-term use.
About photo-optional registration
When photo-optional registration is enabled, you can register inventory even without adding a photo. The setting can be turned on or off for each folder, and the default is off. This lets you keep photo-based folders as they are while allowing faster entry only where it makes sense.
When it helps
It is useful when moving to a new iPhone, when you want to preserve your records before replacing your device, or when you simply do not want to risk losing your data. Photo-optional registration also helps when you want to quickly log model numbers, consumables, or simple stock counts first.
Still simple to use
Stokki still works without the cloud and without login. You can open it and record things right away, and now you also have backup when you need extra peace of mind.
We will keep improving Stokki so organizing the things at home stays simple and sustainable.
